Jumpers & Jazz Weekend Away

Warwick Jumpers & Jazz Weekend Away – Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th July

The plan:

Friday:
Meet on the Friday morning in the park opposite Peak’s Crossing State School, 11:00am for 11:30am departure.

Peak’s Crossing is on the Ipswich to Boonah Road. Check the map

Lunch will be half an hour away at Flavours Cafe, Boonah.

After lunch we will be off for afternoon tea/coffee at Spring Creek Mountain Cafe on top of the range, about an hour and a half drive. Highly recommended if you have not been this way before.

This is a very picturesque drive, Lotus-ish in the valleys, some parts un-fenced, so watch out for cattle, followed by a narrow and cautious climb up the range. The cafe and view at the top are well worth the effort.

Having topped up with coffee or tea, it is a great drive on to Warwick via Queen Mary Falls and Killarney. Assuming we don’t stop at Queen Mary Falls we should be in Warwick by 4:30pm. If we stop at Queen Mary Falls then we could take another 1hr 30min. Say 6:00pm.

jumpers-jazz-2Saturday:
Breakfast at Pitstop Lodge B&B
Jazz & Jumpers free time for the day.
Dinner: Joie de Vivre

Sunday:
Breakfast at Bellevue Café
Grand Auto Display, on the street outside Bellevue Café around 9.00am.
Display cars in main street until 2:00pm.
Jazz & Jumpers free time for the morning and lunch wherever it suits you

Drive home via either:
Cunningham Highway (Cunningham’s Gap) or MA Ma Creek (Gatton to Clifton Rd).

Bookings:
Book directly with Pitstop Lodge B&B for both accommodation and dinner, by no later than Sunday 29 May, 5:00pm.
This is due to Joie de Vivre requiring early bookings. History tells us they book out very early, no doubt Horse Power Hilton will be the same, hence the urgency. Full payment will be required on booking.

Mobile: 0417 620 648 (ask for Yve).

Cost will be:

Pitstop Accommodation:
Room only: $250 per couple for the Friday & Saturday nights. If you want to arrive earlier or stay later, the extra nights will be $100pp night.
Breakfast: $15pp ($30 per couple)

Further accommodation if the numbers are above 20:
Room only: $250 per couple for the Saturday & Sunday nights. If you want to arrive earlier or stay later, the extra nights will be $125pp night.
Breakfast: $15pp at Pitstop ($30 per couple).
Dinner: $55.00pp
BYO alcoholic drinks.

NOTE: Bookings are a minimum of 2 nights.
